biography

Andreas Shelton (b. 2004) is a designer, artist, and creatively minded individual devoutly interested in the visual lexicon of today's culture. Their work seeks to reframe objects, ideas, and visuals people are already familiar with while subverting the principles that make these everyday forms special. Through exploration of mediums such as design, photography, and fine art practices, their work hopes to remain accessible while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of its own material and contextual limitations.

excerpt

Sprawling melodies open unto rooms of closed ears. Your idols make you servants. Only within incoherence does a form require shape. Each day, the sun rises, and humility returns again. Ask the universe for clarity, and infinity bites back. A question demands an answer. Time slows, tires squeal, lips meet. I could save the world with the perfect pair of jeans.
